Privacy Policy
LegitScout is an independent review publication, not a service you sign up for, so there isn't much personal data in the picture to begin with. This policy explains, in plain language, the little we do collect, what we deliberately don't do, and how to reach us with a question or a request about your own data.
Information We Collect
This site doesn't have user accounts, logins, or profiles, so we don't collect or store passwords or account histories. If you use the contact form on this site, the name, email address, and message you enter are submitted through Web3Forms, the third-party form-processing service behind that form, and forwarded to our inbox; we don't keep a separate database of submissions ourselves. On pages where the contact form isn't shown, you'll see a plain mailto link instead, which opens your own email client and doesn't route through any third party at all.
Separately, when enabled, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to see aggregate traffic patterns, such as which pages are read the most. It's cookieless by design — it doesn't use cookies or similar client-side storage to track you, doesn't fingerprint your device, and doesn't follow you across other websites — and it produces anonymous, aggregated statistics rather than a profile tied to you individually. As of this update, that analytics feature isn't turned on for this site, but this policy applies to it regardless of when it's switched on. This site does not set any tracking cookies of its own, whether or not analytics is active; see our cookie policy for the full detail.
What We Don't Do
We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We don't run advertising-retargeting pixels or cross-site ad trackers on this site. And we don't use a contact-form message for anything beyond responding to whatever you wrote to us about.
Third-Party Links
Reviewing brands means linking to them, and some of those links run through affiliate networks such as Impact or Awin. Once you click through to a brand's website, or to a network's tracking link on the way there, you've left legitscout.com, and whatever happens next is governed by that company's own privacy policy, not ours — we don't control what they collect and can't speak for their practices. See our affiliate disclosure and cookie policy pages for more on how those links work.
Your Rights: California (CCPA)
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information a business holds about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. LegitScout doesn't sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of, but you're welcome to email us to ask what we hold — typically nothing beyond a contact-form message, if you've ever sent one — and to request that we delete it.
Your Rights: EEA (GDPR)
If you're located in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to how it's processed. Because we collect so little, exercising any of these rights is simple: email us and we'll confirm what we have and act on your request within a reasonable time.
Data Requests and Contact
For any request related to your data, or any question about this policy, email contact@legitscout.com. We read and respond to every message.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site or the tools behind it change. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, so that date is the fastest way to check whether anything has changed since you last read it. We don't send a separate notice for routine wording updates, but any material change to what we collect or how we use it will show up here first.
